Family owned since 1981

ActiveF comes from MIS Active Finance, part of the family-owned MIS Group in Northwich, Cheshire.

Our story

MIS has supplied software to the emergency services and housing providers since 1981.

The business was formed by a family of professionals who understand both the technology and the changing world of housing. In June 2019, twin brothers Andy and Chris McLaughlin bought the MIS Group, and they continue to run it as a family business today.

Being family owned gives us a shared vision and lets us make decisions quickly. ActiveF is the latest of the group's products, following ActiveC for omni-channel contact, Documagix for document classification and records management, and Reval for valuations.

Andy McLaughlin

Andy McLaughlin, Managing Director

Andy is joint owner and Managing Director of the MIS Group with his brother Chris, and Managing Director of Incline-IT and MIS Active Finance.

He began his career as a management accountant at LogicaCMG, later serving as a finance director in the Netherlands and supporting LogicaCMG's acquisition by CGI. He went on to a finance director role in Capita's IT Enterprise Services division, then spent two years at Canon EMEA leading business transformation. Since 2019 he has grown the MIS Group through its existing businesses and the Incline-IT and ActiveF start-ups.
